Vanessa Lourenço nasceu em Lisboa, em 1982. Desde sempre, os animais e os livros desempenharam um papel determinante na sua vida, a par das artes. Vive em Portugal com o marido, e alguns dos animais que inspiraram os seus livros.
Tornou-se escritora após a perda terrível de um gato preto que amava muito, e começou a escrever para aliviar a dor da perda, apercebendo-se rapidamente que o gato preto que achou que tinha perdido permanecia muito vivo ao longo das suas páginas escritas. Decidiu então que o seu gato preto teria o seu próprio legado espalhado por todo o mundo. Encontra-se de momento a trabalhar no terceiro livro de uma trilogia de fantasia inspiracional onde os personagens principais são gatos, ao longo de uma aventura inspiradora que mudará para sempre a forma como as pessoas encaram os animais que amam.
Author's Biography
Vanessa Lourenço was born in Lisbon, in 1982. Since her early years, animals and books played a huge role in her life, along with the arts. She lives in Portugal with her fiancée and some of the animals that inspired her books.
She became a writer after the terrible loss of a black cat she loved very much. She started writing to ease the pain and realized shortly after that the black cat she thought she had lost, was very much alive on those pages. She decided then, that her black cat would have his own legacy spread around the world.
She's currently working on the third book of a fantasy trilogy where cats are the main characters of an inspiring adventure that will change forever the way people face the animals they love.
